Fay Slough/Cochran-Redmond Creeks Enhancement Plan

Funded by California State Coastal Conservancy and California Department of Fish and Game

The overarching project goal was to assess the feasibility of conserving and enhancing rearing habitat for anadromous salmonids in Cochran and Redmond Creeks in a manner that would enhance agricultural operations.  This project evaluated three alternatives for restoring access to up to 7 miles of stream for adult and juvenile salmonids; enhancing estuary, instream and riparian habitat; and restoring more natural hydrologic patterns, including a muted tidal cycle. This preferred restoration design was developed into a conceptual-level plan including preliminary cost estimates and a list of permitting requirements.

Fay Slough/Cochran-Redmond Creeks Implementation
