Humboldt Bay Area Bike Map: Update Request Letter
The FIRST EVER Humboldt Bay Area Bike Map is the only comprehensive outdoor guide to west Humboldt County that gives the facts about how to get around on foot, bike or bus.
This map is the only comprehensive cycling guide for the area that gives the facts about local streets, bike safety, maintenance, advocacy groups and local events.
The extended Humboldt Bay area is covered -- from quiet neighborhood streets, to busy thoroughfares, to dirt terrain in public lands. Commuters and casual riders will find it handy for its clarity and street ranking. Mountain-bikers will love connections illustrated between street and trail networks. You can view the map to see the areas covered.
This colorful, 24x36" map is the result of meetings with dozens of local, experienced cyclists who know our streets and trails firsthand. Together, we created an accurate ranking system that gauges streets and roads for ride ability and safety -- making it a tool for everyone from hard-core cyclists to casual riders with kids in tow!
The Humboldt Bay Area Bike Map has two focuses. The Front side maps
bike routes in and around the Humboldt Bay Area, including Arcata,
Eureka, and McKinleyville. The Back side has riding and safety tips,
cycling organizations, events, and much more. It also features an inset
for Fortuna and a strip map of the entire county, especially useful for
touring cyclists.
