RTAP (Rural Transportation & Access Partnership) : Information about how to propose community-driven, county supported transportation projects.
The Rural Transportation Access & Partnership (RTAP) can help rural, unincorporated communities overcome transportation challenges. RTAP is a matching program offered through Humboldt County Department of Public Works to help address unfunded transportation needs through community partnership. This matching progam was developed as an element of the Healthy Rural Roads project (part II of this project). For more information about the entire scope of the project, visit the Healthy Rural Roads II page here.
Proposed projects should:
- Address a significant, demonstrable transportation need;
- Be in Humboldt County jurisdiction and ‘right-of-way’ or ‘right-of-entry’, or have willing landowners if adjacent lands are involved; and
- Have substantive community support.
