RCAA partnered with the McKinleyville Land Trust (MLT) on a successful grant through the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program of the California Natural Resources Agency to enhance the land trust’s Chah-GAH-Cho (CGC) property located west of the Mill Creek Shopping Center and Kmart in McKinleyville. This project enables the development of formal trail system at CGC, signage and trailhead improvements, and vegetation management. This neighborhood trail system will include 0.68 miles of gravel trail, an informational kiosk and trailhead signage, several benches and dogipot stations. RCAA partners with MLT and the California Conservation Corps to complete the trail work and vegetation management with expected completion in Fall 2016.
