Active and Public Transportation Planning

NRS pursues a variety of projects and programs that promote non-motorized transportation and recreation options along California’s north coast. We develop and implement projects to support regional and state governments, as well as residents and grassroots organizations in their efforts to solidify policies and infrastructure improvements that enable safe and equitable access to human-scale transportation and recreation opportunities. We facilitate numerous partnerships that encourage equitable access to goods, services, employment, education and recreation, and actively work to improve local opportunities to integrate and increase physical activity and healthy choices into daily routines.
